how do you resize an entire drawing?

I created a cross-functional flow chart and as I added functional bands it no
longer fits on one page. I tried the following to no avail:

1. Selected the entire chart and tried to shrink it down. I cannot get the
double arrow icon to do it, and when I follow the help instructions and hold
down ctrl, i still can't get that double arrow. Dragging the sizing bars
only move the chart.
2. On page setup, set print setup to fit onto one sheet. No dice.
3. Drawing scale also shows fit to one sheet. No go.

Any other ideas? I'd like to create the flowchart and then make it fit to
one page, and I have to do a lot of these in the next few weeks.

It sounds like you are trying to resize the selected shapes when you really
want to make the page itself bigger. Move the cursor to the edge of the
page and hold down the Ctrl key. Now you should see the double arrow that
you can grab and make the page bigger. In Page Setup you can then use the
fit to one sheet setting to have the drawing print to a single page.

Thanks, that did it. I guess I was thinking of the page as a piece of paper
and the drawing had to fit on it, like the other Microsoft apps. I'll figure
this Visio thing out!
