How do you run English Word and Arabic Word

As a school, we run Word in Win98 on all English computers. Our Arabic staff
needs training and want to learn the all-Arabic version of Word. Can I run
both versions of Word on the same computer (not at the same time) or will I
get a mixture of English/Arabic due to both versions using the same registry
settings? Is there any way around this?

Hi. I had this problem back in 1998 where I had English version of Windows 98
with Office 98 Pro & I purchased Office 97 Pro Polish. I tried to install
both on the same computer & had to format my computer. Changine the
installation folder didn't work either because of the references.

The easiest way around it is to make your computer into dual booting & then
boot to either the English Windows 98 with either the English or the Arabic
Office program on. At least then you will be able to use both languages
without any problems. This is what I did in the end anyway.

I concur with "Crouchie's" answer: you don't want to try this.

An alterternative to setting up a dual boot system would be to use virtual
machines. There's software available (VMWare and Virtual PC, for example) that
let you create a "virtual machine" within your current Windows environment. You
can install any version of Windows (or even Linux, if you buy that option) on
such a virtual machine, then any other software. The "host" (your real PC) and
the VM can communicate using internal networking options, or you can choose to
not let them communicate.
