How do you select a cell with an "absolute" address with a cursor?

When you try to make an absolute reference to a cell, you place "$" in
front of the column and/or row.
But can you do it more easily by, for example, selecting a cell with
your mouse while pressing CTRL (obviously this does not work) when you
select a cell?

Thank you.
