How do you sort consolidated projects?

I've consolidated 2 projects and would like to sort them by date. Although I
go to Project/Sort/by Start Date, the two projects sort within themselves and
do not combine to give me a comprehensive sort. Andy suggestions?

Hi,

Project,Sort, Sort by... select Start and UNCHECK "Keep Outline Structure"
