you have an office job with an insurance company. you like your job. you like
the people and the company. you 've been there seven months and make $10 an
hour. After a year with the company, you willreceive full benefits. Suddenly,
supervisor (Alice) left for a better job. Your primary boss, Mr. Davis has
plugged you intoAlice's position. Her duties and responsibilites are now
yours, as well as the added pressure. you now have much more paperwork, more
phone calls to deal with, and hae been working overtime at least twice a
week. You also have to supervise employees who are also your friends. Despite
the added responsibility, Mr Davis has not mentioned a promotion-no talk of
giving you the "supervisor" title or rasing your pay. Alice made $15 an hour.

write Mr. Davis a letter addressing these concerns. let him know your
problems and how feel about them, but be careful. After all, he must like you
or he wouldn't have given you these duties.
