How do you stop a recurring task from recurring?

I go into actions, then select recurrance, but when I get into the recurrance
section,
the remove recurrance box is not offered to me.

You cannot convert a Recurring Task to a regular task, or vice versa.
Therefore, I would recommend you delete the Recurring Task and add a new
regular task in its place. Hope this helps.
