how do you unlock the modification on microsoft word

I have Word 2007 installed on my computer, but for some reason, it's not

If you had a trial version of Office 2007 installed on your computer
previously, you may need to uninstall it prior to installing and activating
the full version. Note that if you have already installed the full version,
you must uninstall it, uninstall the trial version and then re-install the
full version, or you may still encounter problems.
