How do you update an enterprise resource’s name?

I have an Enterprise Resource that I miss-spelled. He is already assigned
task in the plan and has a PWA user ID.

How do update his name? I can’t seem to get it updated in the Enterprise
Resource Pool, the Project Plan and the PWA id at the same time?

Assuming your an administrator for the project server, I think you should:

1) Remove this users assignments from any projects where they've been made.
2) In the PWA administrator tools change the misspelling.
3) Go to any project plans and reassign the resource appropriately.
4) Republish assignments for each of those projects.

You could probably also make the change in name spelling by opening the enterprise resource pool from project professional.
