How do you update Office? It prompts for updates when it fails wh.

It prompts you to install updates but since I usually buy laptops from Dell
with all the software re-installed, there is no way of convincing Microsoft
to let you install the updates. So you just end up with a version of Office
that doesn't work very well.

What version of Office is installed on your laptop. Also try to contact Dell
support and tell them. Maybe their Office install is proprietary for their
system
