How do you validate forms in publisher

I am creating a reply form for a web page using publisher 2003. I want to
make it so that visitors would get error messages if they try to submit the
form while leaving certain fields blank or when they don't use the correct
format when filling out a field such as not including the "@" when typing an
email address or when they put numbers where only letters are allowed or vice
versa. I would rather that the fields remain populated with an error message
indicating which field is incorrectly filled out. I would also like visitors
to receive a success message after correctly filling out the form. The
message should be something like "Thanks for filling out the form, you will
be contacted shortly".

I would prefer to be able to do this using only the publisher program if
possible. But if I have to use some other software, please recommend one
that is easy to use, compatible with publisher, and with cut and paste
options so that I wouldn't need to learn HTML.

You might want to look into PHP mailers. The verify functions you want are
not part of publisher. The thank you for filling out the form can be
accomplished using publisher, but if you use the PHP verify functions the
PHP will do the thank you also.
