How do you view elements of a shape while moving the shape?

Until recently I could view the elements of a shape or group of shapes while
dragging the shapes to a differnt location in VISIO. Now I can only see a box
around the selection while dragging the shapes and no elements of the shape.
The shape reappears once I move it.

I have live dynamics enabled but I still can not see the shape while dragging
it. Any suggestions?

AFAIK visio tests the performance of the system before it attempts to move
an object and if it decides the system does not have the resources it
doesn't show the dragging.
