How does changes in resource pool affect projects?

I made changes to a resources calendar in the resource pool. But When I went
into the project and looked it changed the working time for the resource b ut
it did not change the tasks in any way. Should it have. I mean if someone
does change a resource calendar in the resource pool. As a project manager,
How am I supposed to know that there was a chnage made. I saw no changes as a
PM that wouls show me that the resource had been altered in any way. And I
also tried this with administrative projects but this had no affect on the
resources. So are you just to keep good communication with your resource
manger to alert you of when there are changes made to a resource calendar?
