How does MS Project compute resource units %

Hi,

Can someone tell me how MS Project is calculating '% complete' in this
scenario...


I have a 4 week fixed duration task with a resource at 50%. Then, I set the
task to 50% complete. Then I change the resource units to a value less than
50%. The remaing work revises accordingly, but the resource units remains at
50%. If I revise the resource units to more than 50% then it displays the
units entered. It is only when I enter less than 50% that it does not
display the value, yet it always adjusts the remaining work accordingly. How
or why does the resource units not display accurately when there is task %
complete? Any ideas welcomed.
