How does Windows Authentication behave?

When you use Windows Authentication for Project Server, are you
prompted for user name /password after invoking the URL and prior to
seeing the Project Server logon screen?

If you use an account with Windows authentication to access PWA, after you
enter the URL to navigate to your Project Server instance, the system
automatically logs you into PWA. This assumes, however, that your Security
settings in the Internet Explorer are set to Automatic logon only in
Intranet Zone (click Tools - Internet Options - Security - Trusted Sites,
click the Custom Level button, and then examine the setting in the User
Authentication section at the bottom of the dialog). Hope this helps.
