How eliminate http from Excel hyperlink

When I convert an Office 2003 Excel file to Adobe, the
tags (links) don't work. Links in the same document in
Office 2000, however, do work.

I narrowed it down to the "http://" in front of the "www"
in the link address.

With "http", the tags are disabled in Adobe. Without
the "http", the tags link correctly.

How do I eliminate the http letters and backslashes in
the Excel hyperlink window? Excel automatically puts them
in if I type "www.XXXX"?

I believe this is under Tools/Autocorrect/Autoformat as You Type.
Deselect the "paths with hyperlinks option."

If that's not it, you might want to post to one of the Excel groups.
