How "find" someting in BCM history phone log?

George

I'm using BCM and frequently enter notes like...
Business Contact History > Phone Log > (I enter notes here during a call to
someone, like... "Jane and I set the date of July 1 for the "Spring
Conference")

How can I search all BCM contacts to see all where I discussed/entered the
term "Spring Conference"?

I tried Tools > Find > Advanced Find > ("Spring Conference") but must be
doing something wrong, it keeps saying 'nothing found'

Thanks,
G

G,

You are on the right track. When using the find tool in Outlook your search
must be "folder-specific." For example, you have asked how to find where you
made notes about the key words "Spring Conference." You know that you
entered this note on a phone log somewhere and all phone log items are stored
in the Business History folder. (similiar to regular Outlook Journal folder).
To randomly find your Phone log entry via a key word search you must first
click onto and open the Business History Folder and then proceed with your
key words search using the Advanced find tool. Of course you can search via
any field option you wish. The key words are case sensitive so (ex: Spring
Conference vs. spring conference, etc.) This should bring up exactly what
you are looking for.

Hope this helps.

To summarize my above post:

Try searching with the Outlook Advanced Find tool by BCM item specific folder
rather than "Globally" over all of Outlook.

George, I downloaded an installed the MSN desktop search app. This
indexes all Outlook data, including the OLBCM. You can then do a full
text search of all your BCM data + email etc.
