How fix repeating Office 2000 component ((shortcut bar)) error?

Component error window received frequently; when error window closed shortcut
bar closes. Fol is 'tech' data from error message:
AppName: msoffice.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2601 ModName: msoffice.exe
ModVer: 9.0.0.2601 Offset: 0000737c

Office 2000 and bar removed and reinstalled without success.
