When I command N, the new workbook has 3 sheets at bottom. Anyone know how to get rid of two of them? thanks.

Hi,

You are using Excel 2004 or earlier. This is explained in Excel's help
system. Here's what it says in Help:

default workbook template
The template (named Workbook) you create if you want to change the default
format of new workbooks. Microsoft Excel uses the template to create the new
workbook that opens each time you start Excel, click the New button on the
Standard toolbar, or select the Workbook template in the Project Gallery
dialog box (File menu). Unless you create the Workbook template, Microsoft
Excel bases new workbooks on built-in program settings. You must store the
Workbook template either in the Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Startup/Excel
folder or in the alternate startup folder.

Thanks Jim:
Ok, I got the new workbooks to only have only one sheet, but now it's coming up in page layout which I hate. I have tried change it to normal view, but I can't seem to succed. It keeps opening up in page view.
