How i made a PFD a template background?

I have made a letterhead design in Indesign and saved it as a PFD. I would
like to place it in word as a background. I have tried to do it but the image
becomes blurry and distort. Is there a way to place the back ground because i
need it as a template.

PDF isn't a graphic format, so Word is converting it to an image type it can
deal with - hence the degradation. If you insist on using a desktop
publishing program for graphic design you would be better off creating a
file using InDesign's File>Export command to create a JPEG or EPS file
(depending on how it will be printed).

You could also try placing the PDF in Photoshop or Illustrator & saving as a
JPEG or some other graphic format that Word understands, such as PNG. Which
format is preferable depends on the actual content.

Then insert the graphic into your Word template file.
