How impersonate?

Hi,

I've installed the Timesheet/My Tasks Tied Mode Customization using
the AutoStatusService Setup.zip file. I installed it first in the
virtual machine according to the manual and everything worked out
well,i.e., once I inserted the hours in the time sheet, these went
automatically to "My Tasks". However when I installed the production
machine, the events didn't trigger. I think I have followed all the
steps, and after doing some web research, it seems like I have to do
an "impersonation" -

The problem is that I'm not a real expert in programming and I don't
even know where to look for the files. I have visual .net installed.

Could you please clarify:

- where are the files I need to alter and how can I open them?

- what do I need to alter in those files?

- anything else I need to do?

Thank you in advance,

Hello,
The easiest is to leverage the solution's "Discussion" on CodePlex:http://www.codeplex.com/AutoStatusService/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=2...

Hi Christophe,

thanks for your replay..
I saw the page you mentioned, but I wasn't able to find the solution
for my issue. I managed to run the SQL code without getting any error,
but in the end the syncronism of mytasks with mytimesheets is not
working.

Should I have done something before? Did I miss any step?
Do I need to do the impersonate? If so, what are the steps? The sdk
solution isn't enough, is it?

Currently when someone submits the timesheet I get the following error
in event viewer:

********************************************************************************************************************************************************

Event Type: Error
Event Source: EPM 2007 Timesheet Event
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8989
Date: 21-01-2009
Time: 17:07:28
User: N/A
Computer: LABSERVER
Description:
FAILED due to an Exception: Access to the path 'C:\WINDOWS
\system32\tsAutoStatusTimesheetEvent_c794f914-5dba-421f-874c-5f91969ee389.log'
is denied.

Is there anything else can/should do?

This is really important for my job, so I really hope you can support
me here.

Thanks so much in advance

Does the account you're running the service as have write permissions to
that directory?

Hi Stephen,

The user is The administrator of server...he has all permissions
rigth?

but...it's a good question. When I logon pwa with this user
(Administrator) and imput the hours in timesheet, works, the hours go
to the mytasks, but with others users not and the errors in the event
viewer is the equeal the other post. The other users also need to
write permissions in this folder?

In the setup installation I select the installation option, "just for
me" because the other option don't works, maybe the problem is that...
what do you think?

Thanks for you help
