How in the world

Are you supposed to manually download and install these templates, afte
rupgrading to IE 7? Active X doe snot work anymore in IE, and the manual
download leaves you with a cab file that caontains a .dotx file, and a
content.inf. Right clicking and doing an "install" does not work. Active X
has to be one of the biggest disasters in the history of the web.

Paul.
thanks for trying to help, but please re read my post. I did extract the
contents of the cab file. Inside of the cab file is

30000052.dotx
content.inf

There is no template, which is normally named *.dot

I have the exact same issue. When trying to open the downloaded template, my
computer doesn't recognize the extension dotx. I'm assuming this may be b/c
my version of word is older than the version the template was created in, but
shouldn't there be some backwards techn. built in or is there a download to
allow earlier version users to download these file types?

Greatly appreciate some advice.
Thanks,
Monica
