How Is It Possible To Speed Up Outlook 2007 Performance?

I have the following:

Inbox emails (878)
Large Mail (74)
Unread mail (919)

My computer performance elevates to over 50% CPU Usage when Outlook is
intiated and slows down the overall performance of my computer. In comparison
to outlook express (with the approx. same number of emails in inbox, sent
folder, etc.) is like night and day but I like the features of outlook much
better.

My question is that based on the information I have provided, is there a way
to eleviate the performance issues I've mentioned?

Thanks

Based on the information provided there is no way to make any
recommendation. The amount of items in Outlook isn't a direct bottleneck for
or indicator of performance.

How does Outlook run in Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

Actually better. What does this suggest?

This usually indicates that the performance issue is caused by one or more
addins. Which one do you have installed?

Disable/uninstall the ones you are not using. If you don't sync your
Calendar with your iPod/iPhone you should really disable the iTunes addin.
It caused a lot of grief to a lot of people.

Can you please provide the steps in order to disable. I have tried with no luck

I have tried these steps, exactly however under the Disabled Application
Ad-in's - the items that I have disabled are not listed, even after
restarting outlook.

Where do I go from here?

Thanks
