In Outlook2003w/BCM...
....when you're in the everyday "mail" pane (i.e. you clicked the blue Mail
bar and are checking your emails)...
....Is there *any* way to see (and confirm) that an incoming or outgoing
email is positively *linked* to a BCM contact without having to go to BCM
Contacts > search for the specific contact > click it to open it > visually
look down in Business Contact History and "confirm" the email is in there?
If not, how can we get this in the wish list...it would seem like a visual
affirmation (unique icon or something for linked emails) would be very
useful...there are too many ways something can go wrong that would cause an
email NOT to get linked, so if you just rely on linking, *assume* it got
logged into the BCM contact's history, and just delete it after reading...
you might find (if a gotcha came into play) that it's not there next
week/month/etc. when you go to pull up the contact and emails.... it might
be gone forever.
Some gotcha's that could go wrong are... 1) contact changed his email
address vs. what you have in his BCM recorde, 2) you misspelled the email
address when key'ed in, 3) the BCM contact and info didn't get saved with
latest info (like email address) in it last time you opened it, 4) and so
on.
