How long can you record with One Note?

I'm wondering how long One Note will record a message -- I need about half
and hour to two hours.

I'm also wondering if you can record a tape from a small cassette player
into One Note?

Are there other programs that are in the Office 2003 or on with Windows
that can also be used to record to and make CDs?

Are you looking just to transfer some older tapes to audio files to burn
to CD, or are you looking to take notes or otherwise process the content
of those recordings.

If the latter, and you want to use ON as intended:
I've not run into any issues recording long sessions with ON. It will
depend on the available HD space and the quality options (Tools menu|
Options| Audio and Video).

If Windows recognizes a plugged-in tape recorder as an audio device then
ON should be able to record from it. If you're talking about the
recorder's speaker into an external microphone, that should work as well,
but the overall audio quality will be lower.

If the former:
