How many cubes?

I

Ivor Davies

Is it possible to create multiple cubes in Project Server 2007 (with SQL
Server 2005) - other than those cubes that are already provided by Microsoft?

Is there any limits to the number of cubes that you can have (program)?

Also - Can we create our own cube with the tables we want, rather than
joining multiple cubes in the analysis section? How would we do this?

Any information on this would be beneficial.

Thank You.

Ivor, the short answer is yes you can.
In order to do so, there are several different ways, but it all comes down
to the usage of SQL Analysis Services (AS). With AS you can develop your own
cubes that either get there informatio n from the Project server Reporting
Database or any other Database you may want to include. This is more "BI" or
Datawarehousing than Project Server.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more detailed info
