I'm only interested in upgrading my PowerPoint, not my other office
programs,
and was wondering if anyone knows how many computers you can download the
program to with the license. Is it three like when you purchase one of the
suite programs? (Ex, the Home and Student)
Thank you so much.
You download from the internet, you install programs to the computer. That
is the lesson on proper terminology.
Now, when you start the install of the Office Upgrade program, simply do a
custom installation and uncheck the overwrite all previous versions. Once
that is done you should be asked which versions to overwrite. Set
PowerPoint to be overwritten and the other programs to remain unchanged.
Remember to read twice and click once during the install (just like the
carpenter, measure twice and saw once to prevent errors.)
Office 2007 Home and Student retail can be installed onto three computers at
the same time. If you split the program (like what you want to do) you can
only have it or parts of it installed onto three computers.
Other Office retail versions can be installed onto one primary device
(computer) and onto one portable device for the exclusive user of the
primary device.
OEM versions can only be installed onto one computer and can not be
reinstalled onto a different computer even if the first computer is lost,
stolen or dies.
Hope that answers all your questions, let us know.
