How may I place a draft meeting request in the Drafts folder?

How may I place a draft meeting request in the Drafts folder and have the
normal Calendar tabs? I used to be able to do this so I could just change
the date to see everyone's calendar. Cannot for the life of me remember how
I did this!

I am using Outlook 2003, SP3. When I create the meeting and then hit the red
X, it gives me the message, "Do you want to save changes" and I select Yes.
It then gives me the message, "Message has not been sent. Do you want to
send it?". When I select No it saves the meeting to my regular calendar. It
does not appear in my Drafts. I see the regular calendar tabs.

I know for a factI can have a regular meeting in my Drafts folder because I
used to do it all the time on this version of Outlook (I have not upgraded).
I just cannot for the life of me remember how to do it!

Hellllllp!

Thanks.

Do you have the live maps addin installed? It causes the behavior you are seeing, at least until outlook is restarted - the the appointment works as expected. See http://slipstick.com/emo/2008/up080828.htm#1 for a workaround.

also - did you know you can create group schedules (look on the actions tab in the calendar folder) for reuse. These schedules look like the scheduling grid on an appointment - you just don't need to open an appointment to see the availablity.

The group schedule solution gives me exactly what I was looking for. Only I
was doing it differently. Still would like to know how I used to do it.
Driving me crazy! But thanks for the alternate answer. It does work!
