how or what program to use to open .pst file

How can I read a backup.achive of my .pst files. Whenever
I press the achive.pst or any .pst file, it ask me to
choose a program to open with. So what program to open
with?

Outlook, of course.
You cannot open these files from the GUI. Open them in Outlook.
File > Open...
