How recuperate previous email addresses with a new install?

Langholm

Hi all. I have an Outlook problem: I can't figure out how to revive previous
email addresses after a new install of Office 2003.

My problem, taken chronologically, came as follows:

1.- Installed new hard disk.

2.- The "partition copy" did not function properly so I had to re-install
everything (WinXP+all upgrades, Office2003) from scratch on the new drive.

3.- Had my old hard disk there as drive E: with all the old data.

4.- I managed to recuperate my existing Outlook folders, but not the
contacts or saved emails.

So, when using my new setup, I am left wondering where and how I can take
back my set of contacts from the old disk (which is still functioning with
all its data). How do I import? I tried the import functions but I must be
missing the right option to select. I just don't get it.

Could a helpful knowledgeable reader spend me a few moments of his(her) time
to write me a simple step-by-step procedure.?

Many Thanks.

Don't import. Just open your previous Outlook Data File (PST file) and copy
what you want into your current data file. Or you can simply reset your new
installation to use your old Outlook Data File as its default.

The file you need from your old drive is your Personal Folders file (*.pst)
It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:
