How restore file association for RWZ files?

I have Office 2007 on my PC.

I downloaded a .RWZ (i.e., Microsoft Outlook Rules Wizard) file to my
desktop and wanted to see if it was legible prior to my installing it. I
right-clicked the file and selected 'Open With...'. I selected Notepad to
view the file, but inadvertently left the the "Always use the selected
program to open this kind of file" checkbox selected. The file was not
legible in Notepad.

I used 'Open With..." again, this time selecting OUTLOOK.EXE. When Outlook
tries to open the file, however (or when I double-click the .RWZ file), I get
the following error: "The command line argument is not valid. Verify the
switch you are using."

How can I restore the proper file association for this file?

Why are you trying to mess with this file in the first place? Rules have been stored in the .pst since at least Outlook 2003 and maybe even 2002. What are you trying to accomplish?

There is no file association for .rwz files. They can't be edited or run directly. The way to use them is through the Import command in Outlook's Rules Wizard dialog.

After saving the file to my PC, but prior to importing it, I thought I would
examine the file with Notepad. At the time, the file appeared in Explorer
with a Microsoft Office icon. After my inadvertently changing the Open With
command for this file type to Notepad, the file appeared in Explorer with a
Notepad icon.

I figured that my mistake could have further repercussions, hence my
question about restoring the file association. Is that possible to do?

If you run Help | Detect and Repair, it should set everything back to defaults. But again, it doesn't matter, because .rwz files normally have no file association. I wouldn't waste my time worrying about what icon they have.
