How should I use VB funcition in Excel2000

Dear sir,
I could not find the way to use my VB funcition in Excel2000. There is no
"other function" in the fx list.What should I do?
By the way,How should I use the functions or subs defined in the Excel
file "**.xls" or other external .bas files, not in the sheet I use it?
