how solve it,,,,,,,?

hiiiiii friend i hope u may be all right. i have a problem and it is that i
have a shortcut of my Excel file on desktop and when i double click on it
open so it do get open but i can't see my records but when i go to file and
then to open the file so then i can see it .so would u like to tell me that
what problem do i have and how i can solve it even i have reinstall my Ms
office i am using Xp Office 2002
thanks, help must be appreciated.
