How soon will Project 2003 Server be released

I am considering purchasing Project Server but would like to know how soon
down the road the 2003 version will be out. Is it in beta? Can I somehow
buy the 2002 and try the 2003 beta?

The Microsoft WEB Site says "Announcing Project 2003" but doesn't say what
this means in terms of product availability.
