How to activate a pdf slide show in Power Point?

I made some nice pdf slide shows with pictures i would like to integrate in
Powerpoint. I can import a pdf file via import / object into Powerpoint
presentation. The problem is that the pdf slide show is not playing
automatically when put into the powerpoint presentation. The imported pdf
file always needs a mouse click and I would like to avoid that! Is it
possible to activate the pdf slide show automatically in the same way an
imported movie is activated in powerpoint?

What kind of animation settings are you using?

If you're using Acrobat Pro you can set a property to do this then point to
the pdf file with an action setting. Otherwise, I haven't found a command
line switch or other way to open full screen automatically. In Acrobat Pro,
open the file and go to File/Properties/Initial View and check the Open in
Full Screen mode box under Window Options. This should allow you to do what
you want.

Yes, Connie, you can do what you want to.

Let's just make sure we are using the correct terminology: Did you literally
use the Insert Object command and then browse your computer for the PDF
file? If so, then the object that appears on the slide can be animated as
part of a sequence. You'll see a fifth choice in the Animation task pane
when you select an object -- choose Open, and when it is the object's turn
in the animation sequence, the PDF will open automatically (either on a
mouse click or automatically, depending upon your choice of settings).

Two points: 1) You'll want to set the PDF's document property to be Open in
Full Screen Mode
2) The object's appearance on the slide is irrelevant
and potentially distracting. Just drag it off the slide.

Hello Rick,

Thank you very much for your reply, it's working! The pdfslide show opens
automatically and plays the photoseries as requested. Only problem is Adobe's
Full Screen message now, any idea how I can avoid that/how I have to change
file settings in Adobe?
