How to adapt Task Usage report to show summary information?

I can't seem to find a way to get the in built task usage report to show
information for summary tasks. Is there a simple way to do this?

Tony,
What field are you trying to show? Summary line information does appear
for fields that are task fields (e.g. Work), but does not show for
fields that are resource fields (e.g. % Allocation).
