How to add a sentence or statement before the footer

Is it possible to add a statement before the footer area using VBA?

In other words I need to add some text to the bottom of each page but
not in the footer.

The document is about 256 pages

In theory yes, but in practice there is a variety of issues that may affect
the outcome - not least of which is that Word is not a page layout
application and so the concept of what is a 'page' is somewhat vague.
Furthermore, if you add text to a page, it will reflow the rest of the
document. It would be simpler to add the text to the footer(s). Can you give
us more information about what exactly you are trying to do and in which
Word version?
