System administrator wishes to add additional fields into Web Access
and not edit info on existing fields.

Please advise. Thanks.

The Project Server administrator can create custom enterprise fields and
outline codes by doing the following:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server with
administrator permissions
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Open Enterprise Global
3. Click Tools - Customize - Enterprise Fields
4. Create each type of custom field and outline code desired in the system
5. Click OK
6. Save and close the Enterprise Global file
7. Exit and relaunch Microsoft Project Professional

If the Project Server administrator created any custom enterprise Project or
Task fields or outline codes, he/she will need to ask the project managers
to open every project, set values for the new custom enterprise Project and
Task fields, then save and republish the project. If the Project Server
administrator created any new custom enterprise Resource fields or outline
codes, he/she will need to open the Enterprise Resource Pool, check out all
resources in the pool, set values for these new custom fields and outline
codes for each resource, and then save and close the pool. The Project
Server administrator will also need to modify standard PWA views or create
new custom PWA views to display the new custom fields and outline codes as
desired. Hope this helps.

Hi Howard,

Thank you so much for the reply....

May I check if I am able to do so in the Project Center in Web Access?
Any steps in doing so?

Please advise. Thanks.

The Project Server administrator should add the custom fields or outline
codes to the Project Center views, as needed. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I would like to enquire how do I go about adding fields in Web Access,
under "Project" -> upon selected a project -> click on "Edit" ->
Project Details.

So far I am only able to see "Owner" (under Project Fields) and
"Administration" (under Value). I would like to add more fields or even
customise them.

Please advise. Many thanks.

Your Project Server administrator would need to create custom enterprise
Project outline codes, or create custom enterprise Project fields that do
not include a value list or a formula. These fields and outline codes will
then appear on the Project Details page. Hope this helps.
