How to add certificates to the "Trusted Publishers" ?

Hi all,

I was wondering how you can modify the "Trusted Publishers" list in Excel.

I know you can use the Office Resource Kit tools CIW and CMW ... but can you
also use AD GPOs?

We need to modify that setting in order to add the root certificate from our
microsoft PKI to the Trusted Publishers List.
(All the macros are digitally signed with certificates issued from that CA.)

TIA

I'm assuming that you mean the "Trusted Sources" in Tools->Macro-
Security
From the Excel help:

"Modify the list of trusted sources for macros
To perform these procedures, you must have Microsoft Internet Explorer
version 4.0 or later installed on your computer.

Do one of the following:

Add a macro developer to the list of trusted sources

If you haven't already done so, set the macro security level to Medium
or High.

How?

On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Security tab.
Under Macro Security, click Macro Security.
Click the Security Level tab, and then select the security level you
want to use.

Open the file or load the add-in that contains macros certified by the
macro developer that you want to add to the list.
In the Security Warning box, select the Always trust macros from this
source check box. "

So, sign some code with your certificate, save it in a workbook, then
open that book again. I think I had to change the security setting to
Medium for it to work for me.
I hope that helps.
