How to add more than 1 hyperlink to a task (MS Proj 2003)

Elai

I am trying to add multiple hyperlinks to documents for each task. For some
reason, after the 1st one, all hyperlinks become text and do not function
like hyperlinks.

Is this a limitation of MS Project or is there a special trick for doing this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Elai,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I stand to be corrected, but as far as I'm aware, you can only have one
hyperlink attached to a task.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Thanks Mike. After digging around, I found a work-around for this limitation.
I used a text field and added "file:\\" in front of the doc URL that I wanted
to link to. And it worked!!!

We use a single Hyperlink on a task. The link loads an HTML page with
multiple links.
Example: MS Project file contains a task "Publish Monthly Status Report"
that runs the length of the program. The hyperlink loads an HTML page and
the page contains links to Word.doc files --- one for each month.

HTML of this sort is easily generated in Word and saved as HTML. For that
matter, it can remain a Word.doc and the same effect can be achieved.

Note for Mike - I believe there is a one link limitation, I've tried to get
around it several times but no joy.
