how to add text box

Is it possible to add a text box to a document, but without the black
border around the text box?

It is. Double-click the border of your textbox, then, under "Line", select
the colour you'd like to use, or simply use "No line" to get rid of the
lines altogether.

Yes, it is. Add the text box in the normal way (that has a black
border). Then double click the border, and up should pop a box
allowing you to change the border colour, style, thickness, etc. Pick
"no border", and you're done.

Alternatively, just select the Text Box & use the Line Color button on the
Drawing toolbar or the Formatting Palette to select No Line.
