How to add the same alpha-numeric value to all the content of a co

I have a column D that has 2400 rows and is already populated with numeric
values.
I need to modify all the content of the D cells by adding the same alpha
numeric value (08AA07) in front of all the values in the cell D (from D1 to
D2400).

Is that possible?If yes, how?
I went to "format cell", but could not figure it out. If anyone knows how,
please share.

Formatting will not change the "content" of the cell, only the appearance.

To prepend an alphanumeric value, Format/Cells/Number/Custom Type:

"08AA07"General

(You can either use General, or whatever other number format you wish in its
place.)

You can format to display your prefix but the content will remain as original.

If you want to actually add the prefix...........

In E1 enter ="08AA07" & D1

Double-click on E1 fill handle to copy down.

Copy column E and Paste Special>Values onto column D
