How to always format replies and forwards as Rich Text

Hi there
I apologise if this has been covered before, please feel free to refer me if
it has (this connection is slow, so browsing is a nightmare and what I need
to know seems rather specific).

As the title suggests I want my replies and forwards to always be rich text,
in fact I would like to also specify the font and paragraph spacing. I found
the setting where you specify the "composed" mail format as Rich Text, but
when I reply to a plain text mail, the format stays plain text and I have to
change the format and then the font every time.

So is there a way to change this?

Replies always use the format in which they have been sent. This makes
sense if the user who sends the e-mail prefers the response in the same
format. Plus, there are still mail clients who can only use Plain Text.

Why do you want to force your format (which can only be read by Outlook and
otherwise renders a winmail.dat) on anyone who has informed you, by way of
their sending format, to accept your potentially unreadable format?

What you say makes a lot of sense, but in my office setup most people I mail

if they are replying to your rich text using plain text, it usually means
they got it as plain text - probably because they method they use for
replies does not support RTF. it could also mean they use the setting to
read in plain text or your server strips RTF and sends only plain text
outside of the server.

So... You'd rather tell us not to do it than answer the question asked?

So... You'd rather tell us not to do it than answer the question asked?

Try reading the entire thread. The definitive answer was posted already.
There is no way to force a reply format to one of your choice. Outlook will
_always_ reply using the format of the original message. End of story.

It was answered earlier in the thread - outlook does not offer the option.
You could use VBA, but its not recommended.
