How to apply a transition to all the slides

I am working on the powerpoint 2007 book. Exercise 3H no. 4 and 5....

I need to ise the Animate list to apply the Wipe, one by one animation.
Apply the Wipe left transition and then set the Transition speed to Fast.
That's fine and I can do this.
The last part is : Apply the transition settings to all of the slides in the
presentation... so I chose - Apply to all but it doesn't copy the transition
to all slides.

Does it need to be entered one by one?

I think you may be confusing ANIMATION with TRANSITION.

Instead of the animate list use the icons in the ribbon section named
"Transitions to this slide"
