Hi, I am using Ms-Project server 2007 with Admin rights.
I created a new Toolbar button and a new menu key, which both associated to
a Macro defined in Enterprise Global.
The buttons have been located on right position and saved in Enterprise
Global too, I can see and use these buttons when I open any projects in
Ms-Project professional.

The problem is: when other people logon Project Professional from their PC,
they can not see these buttons from Toolbar or Menu, indeed can not see the
saved Macro.

Can I apply these customized buttons and Macro to all users? How to do it?

Thanks in advance,

JJin

Hello åŠæ–°ä¸æ—§,

To save the custom toolbar with the enterprise global, you have to manually
select it to be included in the EG. You can do that by checking out the
Enteprise Global and then including the new toolbar in it from Tools,
Organizer.

When using the organizer, be careful not to accidentally include local views
in the EG as if you do include a view without the corresponding table
definition, other users will start getting errors on any and all projects
they open.

Hope that helps,

Thanks Jussi.
1- I have saved customized toolbar button and menu item in Collaborate menu
of Enterprise Global. ---- I can see them and it works when I open a new
project in Prj-Professiona 2007 from my PC.
2- When I opened Enterprise Global, check Tools-Organizer-Toolbars, there
was blank. then I copied "Collaborate" from <Global(+non-cached Enterprise)>
to <Checked-out Enterprise Global>. They are there now.
3- My problem is, all buttons and toolbar menus working on my new projects
do not show up when other users open a project, even it does not showup when
other Administrator open "Enterprise global"...

Do you know why? Is my operation wrong?

Thanks in advance,

That should have been enough...

1. Create your custom toolbar
2. Checkout the enterprise global
3. Add the toolbar to the EG through the organizer
4. Save and check in the EG
5. Everyone should see the new toolbar

That is how it works in our environment - I just verified it with a new test
toolbar. When you add the toolbar to EG, save and check it in and then
re-open the EG, is the toolbar still there in the organizer? If not, it is
not getting saved for some reason. You said you are an admin, so you probably
have the rights to save the checked out EG.
