how to arrange site specific access

Here's a question I have regarding scheduling.

I have 1 resource who will be doing work at several sites. The work is
generally done Monday to Friday in regular working hours ranging from 7am to
8pm.
There are a couple of sites which are exceptions - they only allow access by
the resource on weekends. How can I show that in the schedule when the
resource doesn't work weekends normally and I don't want it to affect the
times for the other sites where they can do the work during the week?

I can't seem to find where to adjust a calendar for a task, only a resourse
- and I don't want to change the resource calendar because they don't
normally work weekends and I'm worried about it messing up the schedule for
all the sites that don't need weekend work... help?!

Hi Paul,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Create a new calendar with work only at the weekends. In the Task
Information form, Advanced tab, select your task calendar and select to allow
scheduelling to ignore resource calendars. That shoud do it.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi Mike,
thanks for the speedy reply. I'm a little rusty on MSP, but shortly after I
posted the question I started wondering if a custom calendar would do the
trick. Thanks for validating my hunch!
