how to assign one backgroud per drawing?

how to assign one backgroud per drawing instead of one backgraound for
multiple drawings?

I have created one visio file which has four drawing of different sizes.
How can I create a backgroud for each drawing as the larger files only
receive a small backgroud, or if a large background is used then the small
drawings are increased in size.

I think you mean "make a different background page for each different page"

Under Page > Setup or when you Insert > Page, you can make any page a
background page. Then it can be assigned to any foreground page via Page >
Setup.

You can have any combination of foreground/background pages in a single
Visio document. Background pages can even have cascading background pages
behind them!
