How to automate populating MSProject from other data sources?

[New to EPM Implementation]

We are in the process of implementing an EPM solution. We have much of the
resource and new project data in other data sources. We would like to
automate as much of the popluation of data as possible. Has any one
sucessfully performed this. If so, where can we locate information on how to
do this.

You can successfully import your existing projects and resources into
Project Server. Before you do so, however, you should standardize the
naming convention for all resources in existing projects. For example, if
Dale Howard, Dale A. Howard, and dhoward all refer to the same person,
select the naming convention for this person and standardize it across all
existing projects. For information how to import both projects and
