Hi,
I am using Project 2007 and am managing multiple large projects from a
shared resource pool. Across the projects an individual can be allocated to
more than one project (managed through work assignment) but to the limit of
their available hours. Our charge model require us to remove a resource from
an assignment if they are away on leave/sick. We do this using the
availability against the individual in the shared resource pool.
This process allows us to identify where they are 'overallocated' (not
chargeable). My question is - how do I get the cost associated with the task
to be reduced to the actual availability (cost) of the resource? At the
moment the cost is calculated at the total hours * hourly rate for the
person, regardless of their non-availability.
Thanks!
