How To Backup a FP based Web??

I have a FP 2003 based website running on Windows 2003, IIS 6.0 server. I
manage both the server and the Website. I recently had a navigation bar
disappear on one of my pages and I attempted to restore a backup of the
website but could not restore the navigation bar. I am using the Windows 2003
shadow copy backup. I restored the system state and the directory that
contained my website files and I did not get the navigation bar back. What am
I doing wrong? What is the proper way to backup the site?

I ended up recreating the navigation bar, with limited results. (I created a
separate post for that issue)

Thanks

It's not the backing up that causes the problem. It's the restoring.

A FrontPage web often has dependencies upon the web server and/or the
configuration of server extensions on the web server. So the best way to
back it up is to publish it to a file location, and to restore is to publish
it to the original location (file or http). This way, FrontPage restores the
server configuration.

Thanks Kevin. Is there a way to automate the publish process? Such as a
script? I would like the backup process to occur automatically.

Thanks
