How to book Resources using vcalendar format?

Is it possible to book an Exchange Resource using
vcalendar ICS or VCS formats?

I have no problems booking the resource via Outlook. I can
export that same meeting request to ICS or VCS but running
either of those will not book the resource - they will
schedule the meeting and invite attendees, but do nothing
with the resource. It's like VCS/ICS are not messaging the
Exchange server and hence not booking the resource...??

AFAIK, this would be possible only if the resource mailbox is running an AutoAccept script or you're using a tool like Simpler-Webb's Exchange Resource Manager.
